3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Oatmeal Balls

I adore the simplicity of this recipe. Oatmeal, peanut butter, and honey come together to create in minutes a fabulously easy (and tasty!) treat. The hardest part of this recipe is rolling out the balls without snacking them all.

I’ve added mini M&Ms and chocolate chips to this recipe as pictured. But, this recipe works well with or without mix-ins. So, you can add whatever you want: nuts, candies, dried fruits, or even cookie pieces. The sky’s the limit!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Balls

My brother flipped when he saw me making this dessert. His absolute favorite dessert to have when at my house is Monster Cookies. He’s been known to get out my mixer and make them himself when I don’t have them on hand.

These peanut butter balls were so close in appearance to that cookie dough that he was ridiculously excited when he saw them. One bite later, he immediately accepted these peanut butter oatmeal balls in place of the usual monster cookies I make when he visits. They are that good.

No Bake Peanut Butter Oatmeal Balls

Honey adds the perfect touch of natural sweetness to these peanut butter honey oatmeal balls. I have loved honey as a sweetener for years.

But, the best part of these no bake treats? There’s no oven involved, at all. I spent years in Phoenix, Arizona, so no bake desserts are always a joy. And, these no bake peanut butter oatmeal balls need nothing more than a bowl and a spoon.

You’ll need the following ingredients to make these Peanut Butter Honey Oatmeal Balls:

  • creamy peanut butter
  • maple syrup or honey
  • old fashioned oats
  • mini chocolate chips or mini m&ms (optional)

How long does it last in container in frig

    1. Mary says:

Well, ours don’t last very long at all, if I’m honest. But they could technically last for several days.

These are absolutely easy and delicious. I’m type 1 diabetic and was out of honey so I made a couple of small substitutions: dark agave syrup instead of honey/maple syrup, and sugar-free chocolate chips. These bites are great for a small bit of sweetness and energy – even just a couple as a quick, light breakfast. I’m about to make another batch tonight!

Can I add Cocos Powder ?

  7. Glenn says:

Nice Recipe. Going to try it. Can I use Rolled Oats ? Also do the Oats need to be made into powder or soaked before making ?

    1. Mary says:

Hi, Glenn. I wouldn’t recommend using rolled oats for this recipe. The texture won’t be the same, and the peanut butter balls may not hold together well. You won’t need to do anything to the oats before making the recipe.

      1. Glenn says:

Not sure if Old Fashioned Oats are available here in India. Rolled Oats are the ones commonly available here.

  8. Michelle Lockhart says:

These sound yummy! Can I use quick cook oats? Thanks

    1. Mary says:

Hi, Michelle. Yes, you can use quick oats in this recipe. I’ve used both in the past. Personally, I prefer the more noticeable oatmeal when the recipe is made with old fashioned oats. So, the texture will be a little bit different, but still delicious with either one!
