Silky smooth hot fudge made with Nutella. Perfect for ice cream sundaes or just eating with a spoon.

Welcome to the weekend, friends! We have been relaxing this week and enjoying some ice cream sundaes topped with this fudge sauce.
This sauce is the perfect way to celebrate a few days off. This sauce only takes about 10 minutes of effort from start to finish, so you can have this awesomeness ready to pour over ice cream about as quickly as you can read through this recipe.
I know I made it, but can I just say that using Nutella in hot fudge may be the most brilliant thing my brain has ever thought of.
Nutella gives the hot fudge such a thick, smooth texture, and leaves behind a slight, beautiful hazelnut taste.

I might have had several “test” spoonfuls while I was making and photographing this sauce, plus the portion I poured over my bowl of ice cream. It’s just that good!
Nutella Hot Fudge Ingredients
- heavy cream
- cocoa powder
- corn syrup
- kosher salt
- butter
- Nutella chocolate hazelnut spread

How To Make Nutella Hot Fudge
- In a medium saucepan, mix together heavy cream, cocoa, corn syrup and salt over medium heat. Bring to a gentle boil and let simmer for about 4 minutes, stirring continuously.
- Remove from heat and whisk in butter and Nutella until smooth. Serve warm over ice cream.

Any remaining hot fudge may be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Use the microwave or stove-top to reheat before serving.
Try Nutella Hot Fudge over Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream or Raspberry White Chocolate Ice Cream. If you have any sauce leftover, I recommend stirring a spoonful into a White Chocolate Latte.
