Apple Crisp without Oats

Inspired by an abundance of apples and a craving for a warm apple crisp on a day when we had run out of oatmeal, (how does that even happen?!) I decided that an apple crisp without oats needed to be a thing.

After all, we make crumbles and streusel for coffee cakes and muffins using just a bit of flour, sugar, and butter, right? Why couldn’t that same logic apply to an apple crisp? I’m happy to tell you that it does work and it works deliciously!
