Did you know you can cook perfect shrimp (from frozen!) in the air fryer without thawing first and it turns out perfectly? The air fryer comes in clutch once again by making shrimp an even easier dinner option.

Frozen Shrimp in Air Fryer
When I first shared my excitement over making shrimp in the air fryer, a reader emailed me to say that she does the same thing but cooks the frozen shrimp in the air fryer without thawing it first.
She told me that she uses her air fryer to make perfectly cooked shrimp directly from the freezer all the time. Naturally, I had to give it a whirl! My mind was blown.
Why had I never thought to try cooking shrimp from frozen? It works perfectly! (I love it when readers send me handy cooking tips! Thanks!)

Shrimp is such a great last-minute meal option because it cooks so quickly, but this technique takes it to the next level. Being able to grab a bag of shrimp from the freezer and cook it without having to bother thawing it makes it even more convenient than it was before!
My guys will happily munch their way through a pile of shrimp for dinner which makes this a seriously valuable technique, but it also means we’ll be able to whip up some other favorites without having to plan ahead. Shrimp pasta salad comes to mind immediately!

Air Frying Frozen Shrimp
To whip up this lightning fast air fried frozen shrimp, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- frozen shrimp
- Old Bay seasoning
- cooking oil spray

How Long to Cook Frozen Shrimp in Air Fryer
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Break the frozen shrimp apart and place it in a mixing bowl.
Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning and spray lightly with oil. Shake the bowl and sprinkle with the remaining teaspoon of seasoning. Spray again with oil.
Arrange the shrimp across the bottom of the air fryer basket. Air fry for 4-6 minutes, pause and shake the basket.
Spread out across the basket again and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, until the shrimp is pink and lightly browned.

Thin and crispy, these easy-to-make Air Fryer Green Beans are irresistible with a squeeze of lemon juice or a side of bang bang sauce. I am hooked!
While you may not really need a recipe for air fryer french fries, the seasonings here take ordinary fries to something amazing.
