Homemade coffee creamers in different flavors are fun to keep on hand, try peppermint mocha creamer in your coffee or hot chocolate.
Peppermint Mocha Creamer
Have you found yourself staring at the shelves wondering “why can’t I find peppermint mocha creamer?” It seems like the seasonal creamers are hit or miss when I am at the store. Or they are in stock for such a short time, and not when I am craving them.
As a result, I have made it my mission to be able to make my own favorites when the craving hits, and I am sharing them all with you! Have you tried my eggnog creamer from a few weeks ago yet? Sooo good!
Creating creamers without condensed milk has become a personal challenge of mine. I find I can control the sugar and the flavor so much easier with just cream and whole milk. Sometimes condensed milk just gets too syrupy and sweet for me.
Worth mentioning is that by not using condensed milk but heavy cream and whole milk you can use a frother to create an AMAZING cold foam for your coffee. This has become my wintertime treat!
When you make your own creamer using real sugar you can create versions and substitutes that work for you. I have a friend that prefers monk fruit sweeteners.
You can make this with a 1:1 exchange for the sugar and it’s delicious. I enjoy learning how people customize things for their diets and preferences.
When making peppermint mocha creamer you will want to warm all of the ingredients together in a saucepan to dissolve the sugar and cocoa powder. You don’t need to bring it to a rolling boil or anything crazy just enough to incorporate everything smoothly.
My kids have discovered this creamer and love to pour it into their hot chocolate. The combination of heavy cream and peppermint gives it a rich, delicious flavor and heavenly scent!

Homemade Coffee Creamers
Homemade coffee creamers with simple ingredients are one of my favorite winter time treats. While they can be enjoyed year-round, there is something about fall and winter that has me craving them more often.
There is no better season than sweater weather and pumpkin spice time. Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer is the perfect at-home fall treat.
Italian Cream Liqueur is perfect for sipping, for stirring into hot coffee or tea, for drizzling over a rich cake, or even for serving with berries.
Teresa says
How long will this last in the refrigerator?
Mary says
This will keep nicely for a week at least, Teresa. The creamer will be good for however long the dairy ingredients are fresh.
Kaitlyn says
This is exactly what I have been looking for! Something without the condensed milk that I can use sugar alternatives with!
Mary says
I’m glad it was helpful, Kaitlyn. Enjoy the creamer!
Christy says
This is the best homemade creamer I’ve tried!
I was thinking of also making it shelf stable. They have peppermint and vanilla both in powder form on Amazon. They even have heavy cream in powder form.
Mary says
I’m glad you loved the creamer, Christy. I wouldn’t know how to make it shelf-stable, but I’m glad you’ve been enjoying experimenting with the recipe.
Brenda Brooks says
Delicious!!! What’s your secret to the cocoa powder not clumping?
Mary says
Hi, Brenda. If you’re having trouble with cocoa powder clumping, you can sift/shake it beforehand.
Desiree' Walczak says
This is a keeper! I love peppermint white mocha creamer but my store sold out of it. This is just as divine and I already had all of the ingredients 👍🏻
Mary says
So happy to hear the creamer is a hit, Desiree!
Jill says
Excellent creamer. Do you know if it can be frozen?
Mary says
Hi, Jill. I haven’t tried freezing this creamer before.
Kaye Omdahl says
Hi!!
I have been using cane sugar to make this creamer. After several days, it gets kind of thick. Could this be from using cane sugar? Thank you!!
Mary says
It does thicken a bit in the fridge. I usually just give it a shake to loosen it up. You could add a small splash of milk too, if it’s thicker than you like, Kaye.
