For the days or nights when you are craving a delicious meal and have no energy or motivation to cook it, these air fryer steak bites are the recipe you need to have in your pocket. They’re quick, flavorful, and just fancy enough to make dinner feel special—even if you’re eating them in your pajamas at the end of a very long day.

Air Fryer Steak Bites

Oh, how I love steak bites. There are near endless ways to change up the flavors and create a whole new meal with them. I also really love my air fryer lately, so combining the two was certain to happen eventually. It turns out that steak bites cooked in the air fryer turn out super juicy on the inside and crisp on the edges.

While the steak is doing its thing in the air fryer, you’ll have time to steam or saute some vegetables, toss together a great salad, or if you plan just a few minutes ahead, you can start some rice cooking (there are so many rice dishes to choose from too!) before you start the steak.

When the steak bites are done, you’ll give them a toss through the garlic butter sauce and then just try not to eat them straight from the bowl.

Steak Bite Recipes

Steak bites are a mainstay of our meal-planning rotation. And any of these steak bite recipes will work nicely in the air fryer, using the method shown here. These Cajun Steak Bites have just enough kick to please both my spice lovers and less adventurous eaters.

Crisp on the outside, hot and juicy on the inside, these Asian Steak Bites are a hit every single time I make them. This is one of my favorite ways to cook beef.

Southwest Chili Lime Steak Bites are crisp on the edges and oh so juicy inside with just a few minutes of cooking time. These are jam-packed with awesome southwest flavors.

These Indian Spiced Steak Bites were inspired by the Indian Chicken Bites that we’ve been making for years now. Bite-size pieces of flat iron steak or skirt steak are tossed in a blend of oil and spices before being quickly seared in a very hot skillet. The entire cooking time is just minutes, and each bite is immensely flavorful and juicy.

Air Fryer Steak Bites

For the days or nights when you are craving a delicious meal and have no energy or motivation to cook it, these air fryer steak bites are the recipe you need to have in your pocket.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Course: Main Dishes
Cuisine: American
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • pounds flank or skirt steak cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoons kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • fresh Italian parsley finely chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Place the steak in a medium size glass bowl and drizzle with oil. Toss to coat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss again to coat.
  • Transfer the steak to the air fryer basket and spread in a single layer with space between each piece, if possible. Air fry the steak for 4-8 minutes, until desired doneness. (About 4-5 minutes of cook time delivers a perfect medium-rare in my air-fryer.)
  • While the steak is cooking, wipe out the bowl used to toss the steak earlier. Add the butter and garlic to the bowl and microwave for about 30 seconds to melt the butter.
  • When the steak is done cooking, transfer it immediately to the bowl with the butter and toss well to coat. Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately.
