Chocolate Covered Popcorn

Chocolate covered popcorn can turn any occasion into a party! This is the ultimate in salty-sweet snacking and is as easy as 1-2-3.

Ingredients

  • 10 cups popcorn
  • cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Instructions

  • Place the popcorn in a large airtight container and gently shake it a few times to send any unpopped kernels to the bottom of the container.
  • Line a sheet pan with parchment and spread half of the popcorn out across the pan, taking care not to include any kernels. Place the chocolate and the oil in a glass bowl and microwave at 50% power for a couple of minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth.
  • Drizzle the popcorn generously with about half of the melted chocolate. Top with the remaining popcorn and then drizzle the rest of the chocolate over the popcorn. Let cool at room temp or in the refrigerator for a faster cooling time.
  • Once set, break apart and store in the airtight container.
