Ingredients

  • 1 cup blueberries frozen or fresh
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 3 cups milk

Instructions

  • Combine the berries, sugar, and water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer. Gently smash the berries as they simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Place a fine mesh sieve over a bowl or pitcher next to the stove. Pour the berry mixture through the strainer. Discard the berry pieces from the strainer.
  • Add the milk to the berry syrup and stir to combine. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

If you happen to have blueberry syrup on hand, you're in luck. Just stir a tablespoon or two of the syrup into a glass of cold milk. Enjoy!
