- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- 1½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6-8 tablespoons milk or water
Combine the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Add the milk one tablespoon at a time, beating continuously. When the glaze reaches the consistency you desire, pour or drizzle it over the cooled cake.
When adding milk or water to the glaze, do so SLOWLY. For the cake pictured here, I wanted a thin, pourable glaze, so I added the full 8 tablespoons of liquid. If you'd like your glaze to be thicker or fluffier, you'll want to stop adding liquid sooner.
Make sure that the cake has cooled completely before glazing it. If you pour glaze over a warm cake, most of the glaze will melt and sink into the cake.
