Peach Filling Ingredients
- 60 ounces canned sliced peaches approximately (4) 14-16 ounce cans
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
Crisp Topping Ingredients
- ¾ cup old-fashioned oats
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup light brown sugar
- ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts OPTIONAL
- ½ cup butter melted
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8 baking dish with butter. Drain the peaches and place them in the greased baking dish. Stir together the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the peaches.
In a separate mixing bowl, stir together the oats, flour, brown sugar, and pecans or walnuts. Add the butter and stir with a fork until crumbs form. Sprinkle the topping over the fruit.
Bake for 28-30 minutes or until the crisp topping has browned and the fruit liquids are bubbling. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
