Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler (made with canned peaches)
This is the cobbler that I remember my grandmother making when I was little. The topping is a little bit cakey, and buttery sweet, and the peaches fall through as it bakes and create juicy pockets of fruit in each bite.

- 29 ounces canned sliced peaches in light syrup drained
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¾ cup milk
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place the butter in a 10-inch baking dish and set the pan in the warm oven. When the butter has melted, remove the pan from the oven.
While the butter is melting, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a medium size bowl and whisk to combine. Add the milk and whisk smooth.
Remove the melted butter from the oven and rotate the pan to coat the bottom. Carefully pour the batter in an even layer over the butter. Use a spoon (or your hands) to place peaches evenly over the batter.
Bake at 350°F for 35-45 minutes, until the crust is golden brown. Serve warm, topped with ice cream or a spoonful of whipped cream.
