- 15.25 ounces package yellow cake mix (I used Duncan Hines.)
- 4 eggs, divided
- 1 cup melted butter, divided
- 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 baking pan with butter.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, 2 eggs, and 1/2 cup melted butter. Mix well with an electric mixer. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan.
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and fluffy. Add the remaining eggs, vanilla, and remaining melted butter. Beat again to combine. Slowly add the powdered sugar and continue beating until smooth.
Pour over the cake batter in the pan and spread with a spatula. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Make sure not to over bake as the center should be a little gooey. Let cool at least 10-15 mintues before slicing.
