- ½ cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream divided
- 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon almond or vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Combine the chocolate chips and ¼ cup of heavy cream in a glass bowl and microwave for 60 seconds until the chips are soft. Stir until smooth and glossy.
Place the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a mixing bowl and beat with the whisk attachment of an electric mixer until smooth, about 1-2 minutes. Add the melted chocolate. Beat until fully combined.
Slowly add the remaining ¾ cup of heavy cream while beating constantly, for about 1 minute. The mixture should be light and fluffy.
Spoon the mousse into a serving dish or individual cups. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Top with chocolate shavings, berries, or whipped cream, as desired before serving.
