Rich, moist, chocolate cupcakes are the perfect indulgence for any chocolate lover. Though they are made from a mix, they don't taste like one at all.

Ingredients

  • 15 ounces Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • 3.9 ounces instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 eggs
  • ¾ cup canola oil
  • ¾ cup warm coffee or water
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Line a cupcake pan with paper liners. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, instant pudding, eggs, oil, coffee or water, and sour cream.
  • Beat with an electric mixer for about 30 seconds to combine. Add the chocolate chips and mix throughout.
  • Scoop the batter into the liners in the pan, filling each cup about ⅔ full. Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from the oven and cool completely before frosting.
