Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon molasses
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 ⅔ cup all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 12 ounces dark chocolate for dipping

Instructions

  • Cream together the butter, brown sugar, molasses, and vanilla in a large bowl. Add the sweetened condensed milk, flour, and salt. Stir until smooth. Add mini chocolate chips.
  • Roll the dough into 40 balls, slightly less than an inch in diameter. Place the balls on a parchment lined baking sheet and chill for an hour.
  • Gently melt the chocolate over low heat in a double boiler or in the microwave at 10 second intervals. Dip each of the chilled truffles in the chocolate and let cool completely on parchment paper. Truffles will last a week in the refrigerator or several weeks in the freezer.
