Brownie Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325°F. Grease an 8-inch square pan with butter or line with parchment. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add 1 cup chocolate chips and stir until melted. Remove from the heat. Add the sugar and vanilla, and stir until smooth.
Whisk in the eggs. Add the flour and salt. Stir until well combined. Stir in 2 cups marshmallows and ¾ cup chocolate chips. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle with remaining marshmallows.
Bake for 26-28 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center of the brownies comes out with wet crumbs.
Frosting Instructions
While the brownies are in the oven, warm the cream in a medium-sized glass bowl in the microwave until simmering, about 60-90 seconds. Add the chocolate to the cream and let it sit for 2 minutes.
Whisk to combine, until the chocolate mixture is smooth and glossy. Add the sugar and cocoa powder and whisk again until completely smooth.
Remove the brownies from the oven and pour the frosting over the top. Sprinkle with almonds.
