Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar plus up to ½ cup additional sugar, only as desired
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼-½ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • ¼ cup crushed candy canes plus 1 tablespoon for topping

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Slowly add the cream, while beating continuously. Add ½ cup powdered sugar and beat to combine, scraping the sides of the bowl often.
  • When the mixture is fluffy and smooth, add the sour cream and peppermint extract. Beat again to combine. Taste the mixture and add additional sugar, only if desired.
  • Add the crushed candy canes and stir to mix throughout. Sprinkle with the remaining candy. Serve with the dippers of your choice.
