- 1½ cups heavy cream
- 1½ cup whole milk
- ⅔ cup sugar
- ¾ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon rum extract
Combine the cream, milk, sugar, nutmeg, and salt in a small saucepan. Warm the mixture over medium heat, whisking frequently, just until the sugar and salt dissolve.
Remove from the heat and add the vanilla and rum extracts. Stir to combine and cool to room temperature.
Pour into a jar or small pitcher. Store in the refrigerator.
