Ingredients

  • cups heavy cream
  • cup whole milk
  • cup sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract

Instructions

  • Combine the cream, milk, sugar, nutmeg, and salt in a small saucepan. Warm the mixture over medium heat, whisking frequently, just until the sugar and salt dissolve.
  • Remove from the heat and add the vanilla and rum extracts. Stir to combine and cool to room temperature.
  • Pour into a jar or small pitcher. Store in the refrigerator.
