Can you use meatballs made from scratch rather than frozen? How would it differ in preparation, etc?

Made on the stovetop, followed directions (no substitutions!), and didn’t add sesame seeds. I would ?% make again!
A bit salty, be absolutely sure to use low sodium soy sauce!
