In reply to Donna. I'm guessing it would work fine in the oven, but I haven't tested that myself to give you an exact time. I'd probably give it about an hour at 350°F and then test the chicken for doneness. I'm guessing it will need about an hour and a half, maybe as much as two hours until it's falling apart and shreddable.

Could this be done in a covered casserole dish in the oven or Dutch oven on the stove? If so, how long to cook for either oven and/or stove? It sounds delicious! Thank you!

Hi, this was delicious. I served mine over cooked rice, added a bit of fresh diced onions, cilantro, and cheese on top. We had seconds!
