Made for a July 4th gathering. It was a hit! Could have used at least 6 cups of rhubarb instead of 4. Will increase next time.

I’m sorry to hear that, Tiffany. I don’t notice a pronounced flour flavor in this cake. Did you by chance substitute any ingredients?

I just made this and I was kind of disappointed. I was hoping for something a little lighter on the cake side. It tasted like flour.

This was delicious! I did 6 cups rhubarb and added a top of vanilla to both he cake batter and the butter sauce. Was a hit with everyone!

My best friend used to make a cranberry cake with butter sauce that was delicious, so I had to try this recipe. I served it to my family tonight for Mother’s Day dinner and it was so good! The butter sauce is the perfect topping for this cake.
