Easy, quick and delicious. using cherries for the wet ingredients worked quite well, and I added Maraschino cherries on top for presentation. Cake turned out moist and people even took some home.

In reply to Lady Diane Brkich. Hi Lady Diane, did you look at the photos showing exactly which ingredients and how thick the batter should look? It's supposed to be very thick as written. It makes for a lovely moist cake filled with cherries, not a fluffy cake mix cake. I wish you'd actually tried baking the cake as written. Were you using a can of cherry pie filling? and 3 eggs? Did you change anything else? You should not have needed to add water or eggs to the batter.

This recipe was AWFUL !! MUCH too thick following her recipe EXACTLY.

So I added the oil and the water called for on the cake box and it was SIGNIFICANTLY better. I baked for an hour as well.

Go back to the drawing board with your recipe please !

In reply to Rhonda Maxwell. Do not use directions on the box. Just mix together cake mix, eggs, almond extract, and cherry pie filling (4 ingredients)

In reply to Sandra wittkamp. This should work fine in a bundt pan, Sandra. You'll likely need a few extra minutes of baking time. I'd test for doneness around 35-40 minutes. The cake may require as much as 45-55 minutes baking time.
