Pizza Sauce Recipe

  1. To make the sauce, heat the olive oil in a small saucepan and saute the garlic until tender. Add the tomato sauce, oregano, rosemary, onion, sugar, salt and red pepper flakes.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil. Turn down the heat and let the mixture simmer. The longer it simmers, the more the flavors will blend.

Did it! Rosemary can be eased up a bit and a bit more sugar in the sauce, not to mention my oven needed another 10 minutes. Aside from that, a MAJOR hit with my picky brother. ^_^ And so filling!! Seriously, you’d need to be starving to get down more than two.

Friday nights are pizza nights in our house, so I am going to try making this tomorrow for dinner.
The only thing that seems confusing is how do you squeeze 2 cups of milk, 1/2 cup of butter, and 4 cups of flour into a “small” sauce pan? And then let it double?
Maybe we have different ideas of what a small sauce pan is.
    I’ll figure something out.
Sounds delicious..my family can’t wait to try it!

Can these be frozen until i need to bake them? What’s the longest i can freeze them? Would it still rise like if it instantly went in the oven?
